Business Analysis Consulting Intern

Role Overview

As an Avanade Business Analysis Consulting Intern, you’ll join client‑facing delivery teams to support the analysis, design, and implementation of business and technology solutions. This internship is designed for students nearing graduation who are eager to apply analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and business fundamentals to real‑world client challenges.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience working on enterprise projects while collaborating with experienced business analysts, consultants, and technical teams in a dynamic consulting environment.

What You’ll Do

With guidance and mentorship, you will:

• Support the analysis and documentation of business, functional, and non‑functional requirements
• Assist in translating business needs into clear problem statements, process flows, and solution approaches
• Participate in client workshops, interviews, and requirement‑gathering sessions
• Help document business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of requirements
• Support the preparation of system documentation, including requirements, configurations, and process descriptions
• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, including test preparation, issue tracking, and validation
• Help educate and support key users and end users during solution implementation
• Act as a liaison between business users and delivery teams under the guidance of senior analysts
• Learn and apply consulting best practices, including stakeholder management and structured analysis techniques

What We’re Looking For

• Students in their final year (or near completion) of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Coursework or academic projects involving:
  • Business analysis
  • Process modeling or optimization
  • Systems analysis or enterprise applications
• Familiarity (academic or project‑based) with:
  • Requirements documentation
  • Business process mapping (e.g., flowcharts, swim lanes)
  • Basic understanding of enterprise systems or software solutions
• Interest in technology‑enabled business transformation
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage priorities, and incorporate feedback
• Interest in a future full‑time career in business analysis or technology consulting

Prior professional experience is not required. Role‑specific and consulting skills training will be provided as part of the internship.
