Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial and Operational Data Analyst Intern to join our Engineered Materials Group Strategic Programs team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience assisting with a global, strategic, change management project related to commercial and operation analysis and reporting.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with identifying trends, patterns, and insights to support data-driven decisions across the Engineered Materials Group
- Assist with the summary and communication of analysis results within the group
- Help develop, implement, and maintain databases, data collection systems, and other strategic applications which optimize data efficiency and the quality of commercial reporting
- Assist with the preparation of reports, visualizations, and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way (e.g. Power BI dashboards reports, etc.)
- Monitor data accuracy and integrity, ensuring quality and consistency of data
- Assist project teams comprising of different departments (such as Product Management, Sales, IT, Engineering, Operations) to make document data and processes changes required to optimize processes and outputs
- Write SQL queries to access and manipulate data in relational databases.
- Develop scripts (Python, R, etc.) to automate data processing tasks.
- Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Cleanse and transform raw data to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Assist with the development of data pipelines to automate data ingestion and processing.
Education & Experience
- Education Level Required: Current College Student, all tracts, rising Junior or above considered Bachelor's / Master’s / PhD
- Majors: Technical degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics considered

Demonstrated Experience and Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, VB/VBA, MATLAB)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing
- Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.

- Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to achieve results both independently and working with others
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders

Working Conditions
- This role will be based on-site in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
- Must be comfortable with verbally communicating with people across multiple locations
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Work environment will range from office to plant floor
- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
