Intern - Cybersecurity

Are you looking for an opportunity to put your skills to work this summer? K. Hovnanian is looking for a Sophomore, or Junior in an undergraduate degree program majoring in one of the following:
    o Cybersecurity
    o Computer Engineering
    o Computer Science
    o Information Systems
    o Information Technology

Possess 3.3 GPA or greater, be eager to learn and have good communication skills.

This cybersecurity internship is designed to provide exposure to a variety of real-life security tasks that a junior or entry-level security analyst would be expected to perform. Alongside a senior Cybersecurity team member, this person will be tasked with various responsibilities allowing the right person experience with a variety of tools.

This individual will be responsible for the following:
    • Investigate alerts on our antivirus platform
    • Close tickets on our SOC and ServiceNow portals
    • Review potential phishing emails in our Information Security Inbox
    • Assist with the creation of annual Security Awareness training    
    • Review Microsoft Defender to assist with configuration and deployment of new policies
    • Assist with building automation scripts
    • Creation of Playbooks and Runbooks
    • Engage with Associates, and Vendor as needed to improve and update security tools.

This position qualifies for a hybrid schedule; 3 days on-site and 2 days remote TBD, typically 9-5 M-F.
