About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to join our IT Security team. This internship is designed to give hands-on experience in protecting critical systems, identifying potential threats, and supporting the overall security posture of the organization. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to real-world cybersecurity tools, processes, and incident response activities.
What You Will Do:
- Review network device configurations to identify security gaps and recommend hardening improvements.
- Assist in developing a perimeter security audit dashboard to detect misconfigurations, unused firewall rules, and device configuration drift.
- Monitor cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies and provided recommendations to improve security processes and controls.
- Support cross-functional cybersecurity projects, team initiatives, and operational requirements.
- Contribute to departmental goals by promoting the mission and continuous improvement of the Cybersecurity program.
Do You Have
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (network security, risk management, etc.)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Experience with security tools or scripting (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
