We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic summer interns to join our data engineering team. An internship at Octaura provides an opportunity to acquire hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects that support our organization’s goals. You will gain actionable skills and lessons, while getting involved with complex projects throughout the summer. You’ll sit alongside experienced colleagues in our open floorplan, work closely with department heads, get facetime with C-suite leaders, interact with clients, and create industry relationships to grow your network.

As an intern on the data engineering team you will work directly with our senior data engineers, software engineers and data scientists to build and maintain the infrastructure and data pipelines that touch all parts of our company. In this role you'll assist with developing Python-based data workflows, supporting cloud-based data processing and storage while gaining hands-on experience with the latest in data engineering tools in a collaborative environment. Common technology that you will use includes Python, Spark, Redshift, Apache Airflow, Terraform and many other tools within the AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate has a computer science or related background, some experience using SQL and Python (or related language) as well as a strong interest in creating the data systems that power a customer-facing trading platform, internal business intelligence and our agentic AI systems in a very fast-paced startup environment.
