About this role
MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a student pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, GIS or related technical field graduating later than May 2026. Electric Operations interns will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the energy industry. Interns will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills learned through college and apply them to the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, and full-time/hourly through the summer.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and reducing backlog of work orders using Oracle Field Service (OFS)
- Process and complete OFS work orders in Maximo to ensure accurate submission to mapping teams
- Support claims processing across multiple service areas within the western region
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate job completion.
- Attend work on a regular basis and support the company’s employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
- Ensure all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understand and comply with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program with sophomore standing or higher.
Must be available Summer 2026.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Windows operating environment.
