Job Description:

The Microprocessors (MPU) Marketing team supports Microchip’s microprocessor product lines, delivering solutions in many markets including graphics, automotive, appliance and industrial automation. This summer internship is based in Chandler, Arizona, and focuses on applying AI and conventional tools to data analysis, market research, and competitive analysis to improve productivity and business insight. The role provides hands-on exposure to many end markets and products and market analysis. In addition, the role will include web traffic analysis and web marketing improvement and implementation

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain AI-enabled market research tools, including competitive analysis and market model development

• Build and update market models for microprocessors including TAM/SAM/SOM analysis

• Conduct competitive and end-market research

• Review internal business metrics and processes to identify opportunities for productivity improvements using AI

• Support development of product documentation, presentations, and marketing collateral utilizing AI tools

• Review web content, analyze web traffic and suggest and implement updates and improvements

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or in the process of obtaining a degree in Marketing or related field

• Strong interest in semiconductor markets

• Familiarity with TAM/SAM/SOM models and standard market and business research methodologies

• Experience with or strong interest in using AI tools for research, analysis, and content development

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts

• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

• Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and alignment with Microchip company values

• Ability to work onsite in the summer (Monday – Friday)
