About this role

Overview Nature's Sunshine is seeking a data-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) / Commercial Analytics intern to support deep-dive analysis across promotions, customer behavior, and sales compensation structures.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models and perform data analysis
  • Execute analytics, including evaluating promotion effectiveness, analyzing sales plan profitability and incentive frameworks
  • Support development of simple predictive insights (e.g., purchase timing and propensity)
  • Analyze business performance and help identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed
  • Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Support preparation of presentations for leadership, including business reviews and KPI tracking
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support reporting and improve data visibility

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Economics (quant-focused), Industrial Engineering, or MIS, with a clear interest in data-driven problem solving rather than strategy
  • Strong quantitative and statistical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with data hands-on. (Experience with SQL, Python, or R is a strong plus but not required)
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Interest in financial modeling, business analysis, and data
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
