Position Title:   Intern, Payment Operations Analyst
Department:   Payment Operations
Location: Remote, must be located in the US and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time, 8 – 10 weeks

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Power BI Intern to support our Payment Operations team in transitioning from Excel-based project tracking to a streamlined, Jira-based intake and tracking system. This role will be instrumental in helping us implement a scalable and user-friendly workflow to manage Payment Ops projects more effectively.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Payment Ops team to understand current intake and tracking processes.
  • Configure Jira to support project intake, task tracking, and reporting specific to Payment Ops needs.
  • Provide recommendations on Jira workflows, custom fields, dashboards, and automation.
  • Develop user-friendly dashboards and reports to communicate progress and key updates to leadership on PwerBI.
  • Document Jira setup, processes, and train team members as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for future improvements and scalability.
  • Work on card network financial numbers to ensure internal One Inc. system are ready, validated and in place to incorporate the dynamics of the ecosystem.

 

Skills needed:

  • Must have strong Excel skills, including:
    • Advanced Excel functions and formulas
    • Ability to create SQL‑based macros or queries within Excel
    • Experience using Data Query / Power Query for data extraction and transformation
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work through data‑driven challenges
  • Comfortable creating clear documentation and communicating findings to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with Jira, including ticket management, workflow configuration, and basic reporting
  • Familiarity with project management best practices
  • Exposure to or interest in AI tools or AI bots (including automation, data analysis, or workflow support)

 

Education & Experience:

  • Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
