About the Department

The Social Media Intern will support the City of Lancaster’s digital presence by creating, capturing, and sharing content that highlights events, local businesses, and community
experiences.

Position Duties

• Create and schedule social media content
• Capture photo and video content at events and locations
• Support promotion of City-led events
• Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages
• Research trends and suggest content ideas
• Maintain content calendar

Minimum Qualifications

• Interest in marketing, communications, or related field
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Experience with social media platforms
• Basic photography/video skills
• Organized and creative

Other Qualifications

• Experience with Canva or editing tools
• Familiarity with Lancaster community/events
