Internship
The Social Media Marketing Intern will support the execution and optimization of Opengear’s social media presence, with a primary focus on LinkedIn. This role will also research, pilot, and evaluate a new social channel to assess its potential for brand awareness, recruitment visibility, and top-of-funnel engagement.

The intern will assist with content creation and repurposing using Opengear’s brand and style guidelines to ensure a consistent, high-quality digital experience across all social channels. This internship provides hands-on experience in B2B technology marketing, short-form content development, and performance measurement, with direct exposure to active campaigns and initiatives managed by the Opengear Marketing team.

What You Will Do
- Support execution of Opengear’s social media content calendar, with primary emphasis on LinkedIn
- Create and repurpose social content from existing marketing assets while adhering to Opengear’s brand voice, visual standards, and style guidelines
- Assist with short-form video concepts, copy drafting, and basic creative briefs to support a consistent digital user experience
- Research, propose, and pilot a new social media channel to evaluate brand awareness, engagement, and recruitment visibility
- Track and report performance metrics including posting cadence, engagement rates, follower growth, content output, and pilot channel results
- Summarize insights and provide clear, data-backed recommendations based on performance trends and learnings
Who You Are and What You Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or a related field
- Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing
- Clear, concise writing skills with strong attention to tone, audience, and brand consistency
- Comfortable working with performance metrics and drawing basic insights from data
- Highly organized, curious, and able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Desired But Not Required
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, TikTok, or other emerging social platforms
- Basic experience with short-form video or social content tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Express
- Interest in B2B, SaaS, or technology marketing
