As a **lead investment accountant**, you’ll serve as a technical accounting and financial reporting leader, overseeing the most complex GAAP, Statutory, and SEC reporting activities. You’ll research emerging accounting guidance, ensure regulatory compliance, drive process improvements, support audits and examinations, and mentor fellow accounting professionals. Partner closely with investment management, finance, and regulatory stakeholders to analyze complex investment transactions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide insights that support strategic business decisions.

This is a remote position.

**Must-have qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field of study (e.g. Finance) and a minimum of 6 years related accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a specialized area (e.g., reinsurance, investments), financial reporting, or public accounting experience.

**Preferred skills**

• Background in GAAP and/or statutory financial reporting and analysis, particularly with a focus on investment accounting.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and standards, including researching new accounting guidance, assessing impacts to reporting requirements, and supporting the development and continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
• Proven ability to draft, maintain, and implement departmental accounting policies and procedures.
• Exposure to accounting for private credit and/or bank loan securities.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Access; familiarity with PAM, Workiva, or SOVOS beneficial.

**Compensation**

• $89,600-$119,500/year
• Gainshare annual cash incentive program up to 30% of your eligible earnings, based on company performance.
