WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build a proof of concept agentic AI bot or RAG agent that supports our internal IT Operations team utilizing low code automation toolset. (n8n)
- Select, pre-process, and structure diverse knowledge sources (Confluence articles, SharePoint documents, PDF manuals) to optimize them for vector embedding and retrieval.
- Configure and maintain the dedicated vector database
- Implement security rules within the RAG pipeline to ensure the agent only retrieves and utilizes information that the requesting user is authorized to view (e.g., restricting access to specific HR or Security documents).
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies like daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and the occasional sprint retrospective
- Provide timely updates to business stakeholders and leadership on progress
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Basic Qualifications
- API/Webhook Proficiency: Skilled in integrating external services via custom HTTP Requests and utilizing webhooks for triggers/data exchange.
- JSON Data Handling: Proficient in reading, manipulating, and transforming JSON data structures for API interactions.
- Scripting Basics: Ability to write necessary small code snippets (JavaScript/Python)
- Process Analysis: Ability to break down complex, manual tasks into simple, automatable, logical steps.
Preferred Qualifications
- LLM/Agent Tooling: Experience with and understand of large language models
- Effective Prompt Engineering: Able to design clear, constrained prompts to guide LLM reasoning, classification, and structured output.
- RAG Knowledge: Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation to connect agents to internal knowledge bases for factual accuracy.
PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a College or University undergraduate program as a rising junior or rising senior.
- Available to participate in our full-time internship program from June 1 - August 21
- Ability to live within commuting distance of our Boston office and be on-site a minimum of 4 days per week
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future. Sonos is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role at this time.
