About the role
This is a hybrid position working from our Legacy West Support Center in Plano, Texas. We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our experienced team. This role encompasses both functional and technical responsibilities and plays a critical part in supporting new business initiatives while ensuring the continued success of existing processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business leaders, end users, and IT partners to manage and support enterprise applications within our merchandising organization. The Business Systems Analyst should possess a strong blend of business acumen along with functional and technical expertise
Responsibilities
- Participate in business functional group meetings on a regular basis to understand business needs and challenges, and facilitate improvements
- Define, document and implement system configuration changes in enterprise business systems
- Create process/system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts as required for clearly communicating project business requirements
- Write functional specifications and closely work with application development and business teams
- Testing support
- Perform other duties and projects assigned
Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements
Undergraduate degree or equivalent education and/or work experience
Up to 1 year of Business Analyst experience. Any experience in these working with merchandising systems, PIM, Vendor Management would be beneficial.
Understands business analysis concepts, including requirements planning, management, elicitation, communication, documentation and solution validation
Ability to juggle competing demands and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
Strong customer orientation and commitment to quality
Retail experience
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field
Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
Experience leading projects
Experience working with business partners to get business requirements
Participation in the creation and implementation of new standards and procedures
Stibo Data modeling, workbench and business rules, ERP integrations, SFCC
Proven written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL, Java and relevant tools

Working conditions & physical requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
