Overview
UnityPoint Health is seeking an IT Business Partner Specialist to join our team! This role supports the delivery of IT services and solutions to business customers by assisting IT Business Partners and the Supervisor with relationship management. The Business Partner Specialist acts as a frontline resource for customer inquiries, service requests, and project support by ensuring prompt, reliable, and customer-focused service. This position helps maintain strong relationships between IT and business units, supports operational excellence, and contributes to the overall success of IT initiatives.
Hours: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
Location: Hybrid - Fort Dodge, IA

Responsibilities
Customer Service & Operational Excellence:
- Serve as a first point of contact for customer IT inquiries, requests, and issues, ensuring prompt and courteous resolution.
- Provide status updates and feedback to customers and escalate complex issues to IT Business Partners or the Supervisor as needed.
- Support service desk activities, access provisioning, and coordination with the Managed Service Provider (MSP).Monitor and report on service delivery performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Relationship & Liaison Management:
- Assist IT Business Partners in maintaining strong relationships with assigned business units and market leaders.
- Participate in rounding and engagement activities to proactively identify and address customer needs.
- Help gather customer feedback and relay insights to IT Business Partners and the Supervisor, Relationship Management.
Project Support & Solutioning:
- Support IT Business Partners and the PMO with project intake, documentation, and coordination.
- Track and document service requests, project tasks, and customer interactions to ensure accurate records and timely follow-up.
- Assist with technology solutioning and implementation activities as directed.
Collaboration & Parternship:
- Work closely with IT Business Partners, the Supervisor, Relationship Management, and other IT team members to deliver coordinated support.
- Share best practices and collaborate with peers to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and work experience will be accepted if directly relevant.
Experience:
- Two years of related experience in IT, customer service, or business support preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience in healthcare IT environments or with healthcare clients.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
