About this role

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work within our Customer data engineering team to build customer-focused datasets that enable data analysts and data science teams
  • Extract data from various data sources, perform exploratory data analysis, then cleanse, reshape, and aggregate data into a modern data warehouse
  • Participate in discussions with business partners, data analysts, and data scientists to translate business questions into data engineering requirements
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies like daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and the occasional sprint retrospective

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Basic Qualifications

  • Familiarity with an IDE such as Visual Studio Code, Cursor, or IntelliJ
  • Familiarity with data structures
  • Familiarity with SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Kimball data modeling techniques
  • Basic Python programming experience
  • Experience with git/GitHub
  • Experience with an RDBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a College or University undergraduate program as a rising junior or senior
  • Available to participate in our full-time intern program from June - August
  • Ability to live within commuting distance of our Boston office and be on-site a minimum of 4 days per week
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future. Sonos is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role at this time.
