Weyerhaeuser's Data Management & Analytics team is searching for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about supporting a data-driven organization. The focus of this internship will be to partner with our data analytic engineers, data platform engineers, data scientists, and business partners to build data products on our modern data platform leveraging cloud-based tools including Snowflake, DBT, and Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Purview, and Power BI. Opportunities are available depending on the intern's skillset to work back-end data ingestion pipelines and platform services, and/or transforming and modelling raw data into actionable insights with certified datasets and dashboards. Our team works with a broad set of internal and external data sources across our core business segments and corporate function teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end data and analytics pipelines and data products, which can include data ingestion, data transformation, data modelling, data quality, data science, AI semantic model development, and data visualization.
- Participate in the entire lifecycle for data application delivery from requirements gathering, design, build, test, and rollout to business stakeholders.
- Identify, develop, and maintain solutions that automate, simplify, and overall improve service delivery.
- Embrace DevOps to quickly deploy high quality solutions with standard CI/CD and IaC practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teammates to help translate business needs into analytical approaches and solutions.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through visualizations, summaries, and presentations.
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of analytics workflows and data science processes.
- Follow all IT general controls and IT security policies.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or graduated within 6 months of application.
- Experience working or exposure to data services in cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google
- Experience coding in one of the following languages (SQL, Python, Java, DAX, R)
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
- Experience working with GIT source code control
Preferred:
- Exposure or experience with ETL processing tools
- Exposure or experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, or related datalake technology
- Exposure or experience with AI code generation/productivity tools
- Exposure or experience with creating datasets, and data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Exposure or experience working with SAP or ERP data sources
- Exposure or experience with machine learning tools
Compensation: The pay rate for this position is $25 per hour.
