Job Description

Our Infrastructure Manager serves within IT Operations and manages, administers, develops, and supports the agency's infrastructure. This role provides technical assistance on Windows, cloud-based systems, network and resolving operational problems. This includes installing, troubleshooting, implementing, integrating, securing, and developing evolving strategies for the data center, network, VMware environment, and physical servers. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage physical and virtual server installation, configuration, and support.
  • Evaluate, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize server environment.
  • Streamline agency's computing needs and plan for cloud-based technology.
  • Ensure network and reliability statewide.
  • Build and administer disaster recovery/business continuity program.
  • Establish project management approach for communication to various departments.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of Infrastructure team through regular assessments.
  • Integrate data privacy and system security compliance into Infrastructure team function.

Position Duties

Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of the principles and techniques of planning programs and work activities in an information technology environment. Ability to plan and supervise the implementation of short- and long-range information technology-based activities and objectives. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and review the work of technical personnel.
