Job Description

An IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring that technology systems, infrastructure, and applications function efficiently and securely. This role involves coordinating IT projects and ensuring that IT solutions align with the Opco needs. IT Supervisors play a key role in maintaining system reliability, optimizing IT resources, and enforcing security protocols and standards set by corporate that support business operations. They work closely with executive leadership, IT staff, and other departments to ensure seamless technology operations and innovation.

Typical duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including hardware, software, and network systems. (Break Fix)
  • Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot IT issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assess technology needs and recommend appropriate IT solutions.
  • Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, new installations, and process improvements.
  • Re-enforce IT policies and procedures to enhance security, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for IT systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT regulations, cybersecurity standards, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee IT inventory management, ensuring hardware and software are up to date, licensed, and functional. Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Support and enforce disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Support a remote location associated with the Opco.

Required Qualifications

*GED or Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or anything related.
*3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT management.
*Strong technical expertise in network administration, systems management, and troubleshooting.
*Experience with network security, firewalls, encryption technologies, and IT risk management.
*Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
*Knowledge of database management systems and enterprise applications.
*Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose IT-related issues efficiently.
*Proven leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring and guiding IT professionals.
*Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
*Experience with IT asset management, software licensing, and IT budgeting.
