Overview:
Systems Engineer responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, repair, and support of personal computer hardware, network systems, servers, peripherals, and telecommunications infrastructure in a manufacturing environment. This role supports system administration, troubleshooting, hardware and software deployment, network maintenance, and virtualization technologies while providing strong end-user and help desk support.
Responsibilities (Text Only): - Maintain a safe work environment - Purchase, configure, and deploy new computers and related equipment - Provide system administration, PC maintenance, and help desk support - Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues - Configure and install hardware, software, and associated equipment - Perform virus, spyware, and adware removal - Configure and maintain printers and peripherals - Support network configuration, installation, and maintenance - Configure and maintain FortiGate firewall, switches, and other network devices - Manage VMWare vSphere environment - Support telecommunications systems and MPLS networks - Work with internal teams to maintain reliable system and network performance - Assist with Level 1 and Level 2 systems support and communication Qualifications:Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft Server 2019/2022
- Experience with SQL Server
- Advanced understanding of Active Directory and networking concepts
- Experience maintaining computer hardware and peripherals
- Experience with telecommunications systems and networks
- Experience with FortiGate switches, firewalls, and other network devices
- Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably VMWare
- Familiarity with Level 1 and Level 2 systems support
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing IT environment
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environment IT support
- Experience with VMWare vSphere administration
- Knowledge of MPLS networks
- Experience supporting printers, end-user devices, and infrastructure hardware
- Strong communication and customer support skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
