Role Overview
The Technical Lead will provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership to design, develop, and implement scalable healthcare solutions. This role supports enterprise initiatives across payer platforms, ensuring seamless delivery, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The position leverages domain expertise gained at Molina Healthcare and Elevance Health to drive innovation and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise healthcare applications.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and oversight to development teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, microservices, and API integrations.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and performance standards, including HIPAA regulations.
- Support Agile and DevSecOps practices across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Oversee system integrations and ensure seamless interoperability across platforms.
- Manage production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in technical governance, architecture reviews, and strategic planning.
- Align technology solutions with enterprise standards and digital transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience with proven technical leadership in healthcare payer environments.
- Demonstrated experience at Molina Healthcare, Elevance Health, or similar organizations.
- Strong expertise in Java, .NET, or Python.
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency in databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Utilization Management, Claims, Provider, or Care Management systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, and EDI transactions (834, 835, 837, 278).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, SAFe, PMP, or TOGAF.
