Primary Responsibilities: 

The ITFA security student will work directly with our security team on various projects. With support and supervision, the ITFA cybersecurity student will assist with the security technologies at IGS and help monitor our systems. These technologies include but are not limited to SEIM, IDS, Firewalls, Vulnerability Scanner, Mobile Device management, End Point protection software, etc. Other responsibilities may include: 

  • Assist in maintaining the security integrity of IT systems and network architectures. 

  • Apply knowledge of information security principles and practices. 

  • Assist in providing daily, ongoing security oversight of assigned systems as to the security impact of proposed modifications, additions, and technology refresh evolutions. 

  • Provide vulnerability remediation and mitigation recommendations. 

  • Perform system vulnerability scanning using approved software tools. 

  • Participate in system reviews to include hardware and software, in-house development, and provide recommendations for securing these systems. 

  • Assist in IT security incident response and documentation. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.

This is a Hybrid position which requires a drug screen and background check prior to employment. 

 

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

Salary Range:

$31,200.00 - $62,400.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
