Junior Recruiter

Position Summary

The Junior Recruiter supports the Talent Acquisition team by executing sourcing, screening, and coordination activities across a high-volume hiring environment. This role is designed for individuals early in their recruiting career who are looking to develop full-cycle recruiting capabilities while delivering a strong candidate and hiring manager experience.

The Junior Recruiter partners closely with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and HR to build candidate pipelines, conduct initial screenings, support job postings, and ensure timely movement of candidates through the hiring process. This role requires strong organization, communication, and a proactive approach to supporting hiring goals across a multifamily portfolio.

Work Arrangement

• Location: #LI-Onsite / Los Angeles, CA
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Candidate Management

  • Source and identify candidates through job boards, referrals, and networking platforms
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, interest, and alignment
  • Advance qualified candidates through the hiring process in partnership with Recruiters
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates to ensure a positive experience

Coordination & Process Support

  • Support interview scheduling in partnership with Recruiting Coordinators
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and status updates in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Assist with job postings and requisition updates across platforms
  • Ensure timely follow-up and movement of candidates through each stage

Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for high-volume and recurring roles
  • Support talent community engagement and outreach efforts
  • Proactively identify passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner with Recruiters to align on role requirements and candidate profiles
  • Communicate effectively with hiring managers regarding candidate status and next steps
  • Support hiring initiatives such as events, referrals, and recruiting campaigns

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, sales, customer service, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of organization and attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience in high-volume or service-based environments
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn or job boards
  • Interest in Talent Acquisition, HR, or People Operations

Compensation

  • Base Salary Range: $75k – $80k DOE
  • Bonus Eligibility: Discretionary
  • FLSA Status: Exempt

Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and market considerations.
