Responsibilities

About the Team and Business Line:

Hedge Fund Accounting IT (HFAIT) department manages the core accounting platform(Æxeo®) and datawarehouse within Citco. The platform is used by clients globally and is the first true straight-through, proprietary front-to-back solution for hedge funds that uses a single database for all activities including order capture, position and P&L reporting and accounting.

Position reports to the Development Lead under the Hedge Fund Accounting IT (HFAIT) department.

About the Role: 

As a Junior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be working in a cross-functional team that will be responsible for designing and implementing re-usable frameworks, APIs, CI/CD pipelines,  infrastructure automation , test automation leveraging modern cloud native designs/patterns and AWS services.

You will be part of a culture of innovation where you’ll use AWS cloud services to help team solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building an elastic, scalable, cost optimized application. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broaden use of public cloud in a dynamic professional environment.

Job Duties in Brief: 

  • You will implement end to end highly scalable, available and resilient cloud engineering solutions for infrastructure and application components using AWS.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.
  • Write infrastructure automation scripts, templates and integrate with DevOps tools.
  • Automate smoke test and integrate test automation scripts such as unit tests, integration tests, performance tests into the CI\CD process.
  • Troubleshoot AWS environments.

Qualifications

About You: 

  • You must have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 0 to 1 years in IT or Software Engineering. 
  • Experience in an cloud environment (AWS preferred) is a plus.
  • Basic hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Understanding of containerization concepts (Docker)
  • Basic Python scripting knowledge for automation tasks
  • Must be self-motivated and driven.
