About this role
Position Purpose: As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be part of Beeline’s Data & AI team, working within our Microsoft Fabric ecosystem to deliver high-quality data products, insights, and analytics that drive business decisions. You will contribute to the full data lifecycle, including data modeling, transformation, analysis, and visualization, while gaining exposure to data science. You will work closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Platform Engineers in a hybrid operating model to ensure data is trusted, accessible, and actionable across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Data Preparation & Modeling (Fabric)
- Query and analyze data using Microsoft Fabric SQL endpoints and Lakehouse
- Support transformation of data across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
- Assist in building and maintaining semantic models for reporting
Analytics & Insight Generation
- Perform exploratory data analysis using SQL, Python (or notebooks) and PowerBI
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business data
- Support KPI definition, metric standardization, and documentation
Reporting & Data Products
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports
- Create and maintain DAX measures aligned to business definitions
- Ensure dashboards are intuitive, performant, and aligned to business needs
- Contribute to reusable data products, not just one-off reports
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs
- Work alongside Data Scientists to prepare and validate datasets
- Collaborate with Platform/Engineering teams on data availability and structure
- Participate in agile workflows, demos, and code reviews
Continuous Learning & Growth
- Develop skills in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and analytics engineering
- Gain exposure to data science, experimentation, and AI use cases
- Progress toward Sr. Data Analyst, Junior Data Scientist career path
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with SQL for data querying and analysis
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools
- Understanding of basic data analysis and statistical concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills with ability to explain insights clearly
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Salary requirement $50k - $70k
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or modern data platforms
- Basic experience with Python or notebooks for analysis
- Familiarity with data modeling, DAX, or semantic layers
- Experience through internships, academic projects, or bootcamps
