About the Department/Team:


The Digital Tool & Services Engineering team is responsible for the development and optimization of Invesco’s proprietary software application. Our portfolio includes a suite of client facing value-add tools, and self-servicing experiences aimed to differentiate us in the market and drive client retention. We are a full stack team with expertise in architecture design, data management, API developments, UX Development, and CI/CD. We operate in an Agile/Scrum and LEAN environment, and embraces the frequent pivoting that comes with shipping a best-in class experience.

About the Role:
A self-motivated Junior Full Stack Software Engineer with strong programming skills, and software development best practice to help accelerate our strategic priorities. Codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutions based upon supplied business requirements. Collaborates

with architects and product owners in the development and enhancement of applications.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain highly performant API-driven web applications on our stack (Adobe Experience manager, FE, Java, SpringBoot).

  • Work with our product managers to properly prioritize our new feature development, feature iteration and ongoing maintenance and support

  • Interact with engineering members across the organization to ensure consistency in engineering practices and foster active exchange of ideas

  • Ability to collaborate and operate in a global organization where team members may be located in different regions and time zones

  • Active participating in agile ceremonies to allow us to prioritize the right work and improve velocity (e.g. daily standup, release and sprint planning, demos, scrum of scrums).

Requirements for the Role:

  • Experience as software engineer on React and Java Spring Boot technologies.

  • Experience with developing in AEM.

  • Experience working in an Agile team and environment

  • Experience working with software engineering support tools such as Bitbucket Cloud, JIRA and Git.

  • A passion for technology and building common software solutions that enables our team to release faster

  • Self-motivated.

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry a plus

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
