SP Industries Inc., an ATS Company is searching for a Junior IT Business Analyst to join the team!
The Junior IT Business Analyst is responsible for the administration, support, security, and continuous improvement of the company’s enterprise business applications. This role serves as a key liaison between IT, business users, auditors, and vendors, ensuring systems are secure, compliant, reliable, and aligned with business needs in a SOX-regulated environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enterprise Application Management
• Administer, support, and maintain multiple enterprise and engineering applications.
• Coordinate application upgrades, patches, service packs, and testing across environments (sandbox, test, production)
IT Applications Support
• Prioritize and resolve IT application support tickets
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve application issues
• Ensure timely communication and documentation of incidents and changes
SOX Compliance & IT Controls
• Support SOX compliance requirements for IT systems, including:
o Quarterly Disaster Recovery (DR) testing
o Quarterly User Access Reviews (UARs)
o Monthly Change Management reviews
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for controls, evidence, and procedures
• Ensure segregation of duties, least privilege access, and proper approval workflows
• Participate in internal and external audits and respond to audit requests
Security & Access Management
• Provision, modify, and deprovision user access across enterprise applications
• Review and validate role assignments and permissions
• Monitor privileged access and ensure compliance with company security policies
Change & Release Management
• Track and review system and application changes
• Validate approvals, testing, and deployment documentation
• Ensure changes align with established change management processes
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
• Participate in planning, execution, and documentation of disaster recovery tests
• Coordinate recovery validation for critical applications and databases
• Identify risks and improvement opportunities in recovery procedures
EDI & Integration Support (Preferred)
• Support and troubleshoot EDI processes and integrations
• Coordinate with trading partners and vendors on EDI issues
• Monitor EDI transactions and resolve exceptions
EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience supporting enterprise ERP systems
• Understanding of IT controls, SOX compliance, and audit processes
• Experience with application access and security
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Experience with JD Edwards, and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
• Experience supporting SolidWorks or engineering applications
• Familiarity with EDI systems and integrations is a plus
• Exposure to database systems and reporting tools
• Experience with .NET programming

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is normally performed in both the office and the shop.
• The office environment is an interior office with air conditioning.
• The shop contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high voltages.
• The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing protection in some areas.
• The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air conditioned.
• Some shop processes use high voltage arcs or concentrated magnetic fields.
• The shop contains open flames and caustic chemicals.
• Some areas of the shop may be designated as hard hat zones.
HSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:
• Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods.
• Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
• Report defect in any equipment or protective device.
• Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks.
• Attend all required health, safety and environmental training.
• Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor.
• Assist in investigating accidents/incidents.
• Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.
