Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

Overview:

We are looking for a Junior Developer to join our risk team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience building firm-wide risk management tools across a broad range of asset classes and trading strategies. You will help maintain and enhance our in-house risk engine, supporting functions such as real-time PnL monitoring, VaR, risk reports, and dashboards. You will work closely with senior developers, quants, and risk analysts to learn how financial models are translated into robust systems. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about software development, interested in financial markets, and eager to grow in a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building and maintaining risk management applications, including
  • Real-time PnL and exposure tracking
  • Risk dashboards and reporting tools
  • Contribute to front-end development for visualization and reporting
  • Support and enhance applications that leverage large language model (LLM) APIs for automation, analysis, and workflow improvements.
  • Translate prototype scripts and models into production-ready code
  • Collaborate with risk analysts and quants to implement changes and new features.
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs in production systems.
  • Write clean, tested, and maintainable code under guidance from senior developers.
