Description and Requirements

K-12 Strategist


The K-12 Strategist collaborates with academic districts and our internal teams, to understand district goals, challenges, and technological requirements. They develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance teaching, learning, administrative processes, and district success. They are an industry thought leader who key notes events and executive meetings.


Responsibilities:

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of district’s technology needs, considering factors such as student success, research, and administrative efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop technology roadmaps aligned with district objectives, emphasizing innovation, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with district leaders, teacher, and staff to identify pain points and opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
  • Solution Identification: Identify high-value technology solutions and services that address critical challenges faced by K-12 School districts.
  • Thought Leadership: Educate senior leadership on emerging technologies, trends, and business models relevant to the industry. Speak as a keynote during industry events.
  • Vendor Relationships: Evaluate and manage relationships with educational technology vendors, ensuring alignment with district goals.
  • Change Management: Facilitate the adoption of new technologies, promoting best practices and minimizing disruption.
  • Analyze clients to uncover growth opportunities, as they work closely with client managers to define goals and shape solutions.
  • Perform research relevant to the client, competition, audiences and help translate into actions.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to get work done, drive recommendations.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • OR Master’s degree or related experience in Education, Educational Leadership and Policy
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in K-12 Education


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging technology trends.
  • Creative thinking and strong collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel up about 70-75%

Candidate needs to be located in Central or Western side of the US.

“In CA, CO, CT, DC, HI IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, OR, RI, WA the base salary range budgeted for this position is $200,000 – $220,000 (annually/hourly). Individuals may also be considered for bonuses 14% (annually). Lenovo’s various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com”
