About this role
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the food service operation at community centers. You will deliver consistent, high‑quality nutrition service while ensuring exceptional guest service, waste reduction, efficient and compliant operations.

Primary Tasks:
- Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor according to department demands with no outages and meeting timely food service delivery at elder luncheons and home delivered lunches.
- Supervise, manage, and develop the food service team in compliance with Tribal and Department policies and procedures; coach and document poor performance or sub-standard behavior; conduct performance evaluations.
- Report issues to the Senior Nutrition Supervisor regarding employees, guest service, and 3rd party inspections that would affect department operations and efficiency.
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and kitchen readiness in accordance with applicable standards; keep kitchen storage areas organized for best meal preparation efficiency.
- Schedule and receive food deliveries ensuring delivery matches product and quantity ordered; compile and report weekly meal participation data.
- Attend weekly and monthly Senior Nutrition leadership meetings; oversee and maintain Title VI records including processing new applications to ensure accurate documentation.
- Ensure and maintain high level of quality food; control and minimize waste; ensure and maintain high level of guest service and experience.
- Prepare and submit work orders as needed.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to acquire and maintain Choctaw Nation Food Handler’s certification during new hire orientation
- Ability to acquire and maintain Serv Safe certification within 90 days of employment
- Basic Math or Bookkeeping skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- One [1] year of retail or health food service leadership experience
- Two [2] years of paid or volunteer cooking experience in high-volume settings
