We're seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in delivering accurate, high-quality patient care. In this position, you'll perform and oversee complex laboratory testing, maintain laboratory information systems (LIS), ensure quality assurance standards are met, and help train and support laboratory staff.
What You'll Do
- Perform and analyze clinical laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with CAP, state, and federal regulations
- Collect and process patient specimens, including blood samples
- Manage and support the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Train and educate laboratory personnel on procedures and LIS functionality
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver timely, reliable results
What We're Looking For
- Doctoral, master's, OR bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical lab science, or medical technology from an accredited institution; OR have earned an associate degree in a lab science or medical lab technology from an accredited institution; required
- AMLT certification (or equivalent) required within 1 year of hire
- ASCP certification; preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Commitment to quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement
- Meditech LIS experience, preferred
