Job Summary

Under general supervision, to perform manual laboring tasks requiring skill in the use of certain hand and power tools and the operation of equipment in connection with maintenance, construction and service activities and to do related work as required.

What you will do

  • Works as one of a construction or maintenance crew doing a variety of duties.
  • Handles rough asphalt and cement work, rough pipefitting or caulking, constructs forms, and/or prepares sub-surfaces for concrete work.
  • Mixes, pours and spreads concrete.
  • Operates jackhammers, tree trimming equipment, tampers, and other heavy tools.
  • Lays sewer pipe, caulks and cements joints on sewer lines.
  • Installs walls and fences.
  • Operates equipment including motor vehicles.
  • Works as one of a construction or maintenance crew doing a variety of duties.


Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required


Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge in the operation of the common types of construction equipment and familiarity with the use of the tools commonly used in construction work
