As a Lead Medical Technologist, you’ll coordinate and supervise the daily operations of your assigned laboratory section or shift—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while supporting a culture of excellence. Learn more: St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center What You’ll Do As a Lead Medical Technologist, you’ll ensure the smooth, accurate, and compliant operation of your assigned laboratory section or shift. You’ll support staff, maintain quality systems, and collaborate with leadership to uphold high standards of patient care. Responsibilities include: Coordinating and supervising lab operations including scheduling, training, and workflow management Maintaining policies and procedures in alignment with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards Monitoring quality control programs daily to identify outliers, shifts, and trends Ensuring accurate and timely test results using properly functioning test systems Reviewing staff work within 24 hours to ensure accuracy and compliance Selecting and implementing testing methodologies authorized by the Laboratory Medical Director Supporting cost‑effective operations through budgeting awareness and resource management Promoting Service Excellence and modeling professional standards for all customer groups What We Offer St. Mary’s provides a supportive environment where laboratory professionals can grow, lead, and make a meaningful impact.
