The Lead pharmacist in in a learning mode of pharmacy management and is to be exposed to evidence-based pharmacy leadership best practices. The lead pharmacist is to be mentored, coached, and developed by pharmacy managers and directors as well as through the pharmacy service line. The lead pharmacist is responsible for optimization of pharmacy workflows, medication dispensing and auditing, regulatory compliance, staffing, formulary and inventory management, and team leadership. The lead pharmacist assists in pharmacy budget forecasting and analysis as part of the business unit. Participation in quality improvement is essential as well as the support of pharmacy residents, technicians, interns, and students in training. Participation in local and systemwide committees, workgroups and initiatives as appropriate. • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Minimum of 3 years post-licensure health-system pharmacist experience.
