Duties

Leads a staff of 3-12 employees and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis.,May train lower graded or new employees.,Serves as a recreation assistant in support of recreational activities applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreational materials and facilities.,May be required to help plan, conduct, publicize, and arrange support for a variety of sponsored events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions.,May be required to operate a government vehicle.,Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. **To qualify using education you must have successfully completed a four (4)-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in courses related to recreation or physical education. Please Note: In order to meet the minimum requirements for experience, your experience must be clearly stated in your resume. In order to substitute experience for education, transcripts must be submitted at time of application for consideration. Incomplete applications will be rated as ineligible. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Must be a current member of The Professional Golfers Association (PGA) or in the process of becoming a PGA Apprentice. *For PGA Members: membership card must be uploaded with application.* *For PGA Apprentice: proof of registration into the PGA Apprentice Program or Apprentice Identification must be uploaded with application.* *Applicants who meet both the minimum qualifications and the best qualifying criteria may be referred to the selecting official first. Remaining applicants will be referred for consideration if the certificate (referral list) is returned with no selection.**

Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who live in the local commuting area (U.S. Citizens and Non U.S. Citizens that live within 50 miles of Ft. Rucker, AL). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
