Up to 10 HrsJob Description Summary
Assist with training and mentoring Student Fire Safety Inspectors while coordinating inspection assignments and reviewing inspection reports. Maintain assigned field inspection responsibilities by conducting visual inspections of building fire protection systems in accordance with established inspection schedules and under the direction of the Fire Marshal. Ensure inspection records are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
In addition to conducting fire and life safety inspections, assists with managing inspection reports and maintaining the weekly visual inspection schedule for building fire protection systems, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and portable fire extinguishers. Assists Fire and Life Safety staff by creating and tracking work orders for deficiencies identified in building fire protection systems and life safety equipment, ensuring timely corrective actions and accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications
Must be capable of extensive walking and stair climbing of campus buildings. The ability to kneel and stand while checking fixed equipment and areas necessary for safety checks.
