As a Lead Technical Program Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank's Equities Risk team, you will oversee the delivery of complex technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will use your knowledge of technical principles to develop effective solutions, manage resources and budgets, and lead high-performing teams. Strong analytical and communication skills will help you navigate change and ambiguity, while building productive relationships with stakeholders. Your contributions will support operational planning and risk management, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Equities technology projects by collaborating with traders and engineers to manage dependencies and ensure timely releases.
- Translate business requirements from trading desks into clear technical specifications for engineering teams.
- Develop and manage project plans, including technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to achieve on-time delivery.
- Identify and address project risks, implementing contingency plans to maintain progress.
- Work with cross-functional teams—engineering, product, and business stakeholders—to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor program performance, analyze results, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Promote the use of agile methodologies and support a culture of continuous learning and technical advancement.
- Ensure clear communication among team members and stakeholders to align on project goals and expectations.
- Support the development and execution of operational plans and risk management strategies.
- Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism in all aspects of service delivery.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Equities Risk technology and program management.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, leading complex technology projects in large organizations.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure trading environments, with the ability to make informed decisions under tight deadlines.
- Strong background in Equity Derivatives or related financial products.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing decision-making across teams and clients.
- Experience managing resources, budgets, and teams in an agile environment.
- Ability to break down complex business or technical objectives into actionable tasks.
- Familiarity with vendor products and experience managing vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to program optimization.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in financial technology or capital markets.
- Knowledge of risk management practices in Equities.
- Background in operational planning within technology organizations.
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance).
