Position Duties

This role focuses on reviewing leases, coordinating site visits, supporting program offices, and ensuring leased spaces meet safety and operational goals. As a Lease Contract Specialist 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Lease Analysis: Review lease proposals, evaluate site advantages and disadvantages, and prepare reports for decision making
  • Property Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of leased and state-owned buildings and document findings in field reports
  • Project Coordination: Organize meetings, manage relocation activities, and support construction or renovation planning
  • Issue Resolution: Address facility concerns such as HVAC, safety issues, or structural needs and communicate with lessors and program offices
  • Data Management: Maintain organized lease files, track communication, and use systems such as Flexible Real Estate (FRE) to review lease information
  • Technical Support: Assist program offices with floor plan development, wiring needs, and telecommunications planning

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Lease Contract Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of professional experience performing lease contract or property management work; and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Special Requirements:

  • You must possess and maintain an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
