Role description:

Arcadis is looking to hire a Contracts Specialist (Legal Administrator 3) to provide high-quality transactional legal review support across all business industries and sectors for Arcadis US, including but not limited to the review of commercial contracts and subcontracts, as well as the implementation and support of Arcadis internal risk and business policies. 

Reporting To: Commercial Contracts Senior Manager, Arcadis US (operational and functional line) 

 Location: USA

Role accountabilities:

  • Solid business acumen with tertiary qualifications in law or legally related discipline, with a preference for contract law.
  • Strong negotiation skills, solid legal drafting skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as effective interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your time in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills (the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, consistently meeting required deadlines without extensive supervision).
  • Adept at collaboration and with the ability to operate effectively in a team environment. 
  • Pragmatic, adept at critical thinking and problem solving.
  • A proactive and “open mind-set” with a motivation to learn unfamiliar skills, and the ability to generalize that experience into good use.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.A. or B.S.

  • Paralegal Certification, or the equivalent demonstrated experience as a commercial contract administrator.

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience with transactional based legal reviews, risk analysis, insurance analysis, contract drafting, and negotiation (ideally with broad based commercial industry experience).

Preferred Qualifications or Experience

  • Contract and performance/risk management experience in all general aspects of environmental consulting or civil engineering; design and construction industry; and experience with the various roles and phases associated with large or more complex engineering and construction projects, as well as international contracting exposure, is an advantage.
  • Experience with contract management systems (strongly preferred). 
  • Experience reviewing and drafting U.S. industry forms (DBIA, AIA, EJCDC) (preferred).

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
