Job Requirements

Legal Counsel provides legal advice and strategic guidance to the company on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. He or she acts as a trusted legal partner to management, supporting business operations while identifying and mitigating legal risks.


Roles and Responsibilities

·      Manage litigation and legal disputes.

·      Review contracts and provide legal advice.

·      Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

·      Provide legal training and consultation.

·      Draft and manage legal documents.

·      Liaise with government/regulatory bodies.

·      Support internal investigations.

·      Manage outside counsel



Work Experience

Minimum Education

·      Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA accredited law school

·      Active membership in Louisiana state bar


Minimum Skills and Experience

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

·      Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·      Knowledge of Louisiana state laws and regulations, as well as litigation procedure

·      Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

·      Experience with contract drafting, review and negotiation

·      At least three (3) years or more PQE (five (5)+ years preferred)


Preferred Skills and Experience

·      Experience in a specific industry relevant to the organization.

·      Experience in law firm with knowledge and experience on construction, manufacturing and projects

Employment Conditions

During the initial setup phase of the company, employer-sponsored benefits (including health insurance) may not be immediately available upon hire. As a result, newly hired employees may be required to maintain their prior employer-sponsored health coverage through COBRA for a transitional period until company-sponsored benefits become effective.


The Company will cover the cost of COBRA continuation coverage during this transition period in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines. The Company will also provide guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition to its benefit programs.
