Position Duties
This position supports attorneys and manages essential administrative responsibilities within the Bureau of Regulatory Counsel to ensure efficient legal operations. Within this role, you will oversee a range of activities such as budget support, procurement, human resources liaison functions, and office space utilization. As a Legal Office Administrator 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Legal Support: Organize case files, prepare legal documents, track deadlines, and assist with research and trial materials
- Document Management: Administer litigation holds, process filings, maintain records, and respond to information requests
- Office Operations: Coordinate daily administrative tasks, manage supplies, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to procedures
- Technology Use: Utilize Office 365 tools and other systems to support attorneys with information management and workflow needs
- Procurement Coordination: Monitor purchasing activities, review transactional operations, prepare vouchers, and ensure compliance with policies
- Confidentiality Practices: Handle sensitive information responsibly and maintain strict confidentiality in all interactions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, upon successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have at least one year of professional experience using Microsoft Office Suite software.
- You must have at least one year of professional experience formatting and filing legal documents.
- You must have at least one year of professional experience proofreading documents accurately, including the use of correct legal citations.
- You must have at least one year of professional experience managing large projects, such as exhibit preparation for multi-day trials or hearings.
- You must have at least one year of professional experience handling and maintaining confidential information.
- You must have knowledge of the principles and practices of legal office administration.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Professional experience interpreting, editing, and/or composing legal documents, including verification of transcript references cited in legal briefs
- Professional experience working with clients, opposing counsel, citizens, and/or court officials
- Training in and use of Westlaw or Lexis legal research tools and briefing aids
