Annual Salary: Starting at $78,000, commensurate with licensure and experience

ROLE SUMMARY: We are looking for a licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team in Norwich. This role includes providing therapy to individuals and families, with a strong emphasis on working with veterans and individuals affected by trauma and PTSD. The therapist will be part of a collaborative environment and will also help strengthen connections with community partners and referral sources. We value clinicians who are comfortable working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities, and who bring a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to care. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct assessments and provide ongoing individual and family therapy
  • Develop treatment plans and monitor client progress
  • Coordinate care with families, providers, and community agencies
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in outreach activities and help build relationships within the community
  • Provide guidance or supervision to interns or trainees when assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
  • Current Connecticut licensure as an LPC
  • Experience using evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based care model
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with veterans, military families, or trauma populations is strongly preferred
