About this role
Muncie, IN
Drives and operates Alternative Transport Services (ATS)/ wheelchair van units in support of non-emergency and interfacility patient transports. Has primary responsibility regarding safe operations including vehicle operations, vehicle lift operations, patient/ device security, and patient movement. Provides efficient and timely patient care support such as loading, moving, and transporting patients and handling equipment while the vehicle is not in motion. Prioritizes patient safety in all phases of transport including transfer, loading, securing, vehicle transport, unloading, and transfer to the appropriate destination.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Requires a valid Indiana Operator's license and good driving history.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or attainment upon hire.
- Prior vehicle driving and/or training experience preferred.
First Responder Certification preferred.
A valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record report may be required for this role. Consideration of employment for this role may be contingent upon the results of the Motor Vehicle Record report.
