About the Department
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 to join our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at Baltimore Pike in Springfield. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of the store while delivering exceptional customer service. Position Duties
As Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3, you will oversee and direct daily store activities, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service. At Fine Wine & Good Spirits, we offer a unique opportunity to gain valuable retail experience with a focus on quality customer service and team development. Key responsibilities include:
- Store Leadership: Supervise and manage store operations, assign tasks, inspect work, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Team Support: Provide motivation, direction, and training to employees as they complete assigned tasks
- Customer Service: Address inquiries, resolve issues, and assist customers with product selection; handle licensee orders; and help maintain a positive shopping experience
- General Operations: Participate in sales activities, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment for both customers and staff
- Management Assistance: Work with the General Manager on merchandise management, sales, cash accounting, record maintenance, staff training, performance reviews, and creating a positive, team-oriented environment
Work Schedule and Additional Information:

- Full-time employment
- Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of lead or supervisory retail sales work.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
