About this role
Team Overview:
Impinj is seeking a Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) Intern specializing in DevOps catered for Machine Learning to join our Solution Engineering Team. In this position, you will play a critical role in automating the deployment and maintenance of production ML Models for RFID solutions on the Edge.
What You Will Do:
- Work closely with the ML Data scientists and the MLOps team to build a cloud-based model monitoring tool that can track model performance, drift and bias, data quality, etc.
- Contribute to other MLOps efforts such as building CI/CD pipelines for ML development and deployment, data versioning, etc.
What You Will Bring:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Programming: Proficiency in Python (specifically libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn)
- Strong command of Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus
- Exposure to cloud platforms
- Familiarity with at least one major ML framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases for storing high-volume event data
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Kubeflow, MLflow, or Airflow
- Clear communication skills and ability to document technical information for a variety of intended audiences

This Summer Internship Cohort begins on Monday, June 15 and ends September 4. The start date is firm; the end date is flexible to end early. All internship positions report at least on a hybrid basis to our Seattle office. There is opportunity for full time employment for those graduates or those entering their senior year.
