What you'll do:
The Quality Control Inspector / Machine Operator – Epoxy Coating Line is responsible for
ensuring the quality, consistency, and safe operation of the epoxy coating production line. This position performs machine setup, operation, quality inspections, product testing, process monitoring, preventive maintenance, and documentation to ensure products meet ASTM standards, customer specifications, and company quality requirements. Working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, the position supports continuous improvement initiatives, maintains accurate quality records, and helps ensure efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of product integrity and workplace safety.

Shift: Mon.- Fri. - 6am to 2:30P
Frequent Weekends required for machine maintenance
Quality Control & Inspection
- Perform routine quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
- Conduct product testing using approved testing instruments, gauges, measuring devices, and quality control procedures
- Verify products meet customer specifications, company standards, and applicable industry requirements
- Identify, document, and report product defects, quality concerns, and process deviations
- Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, and production reports
- Verify calibration and proper operation of quality testing equipment
- Support internal quality audits and quality management initiatives
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to implement corrective actions and improve product quality
Machine Operation & Production Support
- Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations
- Perform machine setup, startup, product changeovers, and operational adjustments as required
- Monitor computerized equipment controls and production systems to maintain efficient production
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate maintenance concerns promptly
- Support production schedules while maintaining quality and operational standards
- Assist with material movement, staging, and production workflow as needed
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on assigned production equipment
- Inspect machinery and equipment for wear, damage, or operational concerns
- Assist Maintenance personnel with troubleshooting and repair activities as authorized
- Maintain equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and company maintenance programs
- Report equipment failures requiring additional maintenance support
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and required operating procedures
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, accidents, injuries, or near misses immediately
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous safety improvement initiatives
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Operations teams to support production goals
- Assist with investigation and resolution of quality concerns
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and operational efficiency
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, industrial production, or process inspection
- Experience operating manufacturing equipment and automated production systems
- Knowledge of ASTM standards, ISO quality systems, or similar quality management programs preferred
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment preferred
- Experience with powder coating, epoxy coating, industrial coatings, or similar manufacturing processes preferred
- Welding or cutting torch experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and industrial production environment
- Frequent exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, overhead cranes, industrial equipment, dust, noise, chemicals, coatings, and varying temperatures
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to frequently lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes, and quality testing equipment
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery, measuring devices, and hand tools
- Ability to work overtime, alternate shifts, or extended hours as business needs require
- Frequent collaboration with Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Operations personnel
