Maintenance Mechanic II (Swing) - Full Time, Facilities/Engineering (Harrah's SoCal)

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair duties on all building mechanical systems, equipment, and tools.   
• Operation and repair of energy management equipment.     
• Operation of life safety systems, and maintenance and repair in public areas and guest rooms.   
• Work with Facilities Managers in coordinating project timeline of completion, purchasing of material and performing the work. 
• Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.       

• Must have a minimum of three to five years’ experience in two or more above areas.  
• Must obtain a State or Federal license or certification in respective areas or responsibility.  
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.  
• Must be able to get along well with co-workers, other departments, vendors, and work as a team.  
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.  
• Must have a positive attitude. 
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.         

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS   

• Must be capable of maneuvering for prolonged periods of time, both inside and outside sometimes in temperatures more than 115 degrees or cold temperatures below 10 degrees.   
• Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools such as drills, electric saws, hammers, sewer snakes, etc.  
• Respond to visual and oral cues.    
• Must be able to stoop, bend, jump and carry heavy loads.  
• Must be able to lift items up to 100 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.  
• Able to maneuver on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
• Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in situations.  
• Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation and repair procedures of this property's mechanical systems, equipment, and life safety system.  

Pay: Starting at $28.50 per hour, depending on experience

Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
