Duties
Lead and work alongside personnel working, setting the pace in any of the following trades and crafts areas.,Performing various gas welding processes, electric arc/inert gas shielded, gas torch, manual, and/or a combination of processes to weld all types of commonly used metals and alloys of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses.,Construct, install, modify, alter, repair, and replace all sheet metal components of buildings and structures used in support of mission activities.,Plan and complete projects from initial layout to final assembly or installation.,Repair, overhaul, replace, and install all types of key locks in or on building structures, to include key in knob, rim mortise, switch, mail boxes, cams and pad locks.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Maintenance Mechanic Leader ~ without more than normal supervision. Lead and work alongside personnel working in the following trades and crafts areas: welding, sheet metal fabrication, carpentry, roofing, masonry, locksmith, sign fabrication/installation, and mold/asbestos removal; ensure that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available and check work in progress when finished. I can repair and preform maintenance of electronic keying devices. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Employee works in shops and at job sites. Strenuous physical exertion is often required. Employee may lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, unassisted, and occasionally lifts or moves heavier items with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers. Employee is required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time. Employee works from ladders, scaffolding, and roofs with height less than 100 feet. Work is performed both inside and outside. Employee is exposed to moderate or high noise levels, sawdust, fumes, and hazards associated with woodworking and metal shop related shop installed equipment.
