Career Opportunities: Maintenance Support Associate (503993)
To perform general facilities maintenance functions and works to support all facilities maintenance groups that can include building maintenance, lift shop, and sanitation. Complete tasks and responsibilities to support the overall needs and operations of the distribution center.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Maintenance Department Mechanics and Technicians in performing work orders that involve basic functions for the building and material handling equipment.
- Adding water to the 24V, 36V, and 48V batteries while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Operating a Battery Machine to change the batteries on the material handling equipment.
- Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties.
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
- Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess basic aptitude regarding general maintenance functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Education or Equivalent
Skills and Abilities
- Certified on industrial equipment (pallet jack, stand-up and sit-down forklifts) is helpful
- Possess good, clear communication skills; verbal and written skills.
- Ability to use all required equipment
- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift, up to and including 75 lbs.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time when needed.
- Ability to be flexible when working in a changing/fast-paced environment.
