Nestled in the scenic Spring Mountains just outside Las Vegas, The Retreat on Charleston Peak is a 62-room mountain resort offering guests a unique mountain escape surrounded by natural beauty. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our property to the highest standards.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks throughout the resort, including guest rooms, public areas, grounds, and back-of-house facilities. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems in a hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
• Complete guest room maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of guest rooms and public spaces.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and operational needs as they arise.
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required; hotel, resort, apartment, or commercial property experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment and building systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
